Throughout the web programming and development program and the graphic communications program at Hawkeye Community College I’ve acquired many web design skills. For programming I have basic skill knowledge of MySQL, PHP, and Javascript.

Over the last four years, I’ve become pretty proficient and effective with HTML5 and CSS3. During my web programming and development program and the start of the graphic communications program, I have custom built sites with just HTML5 and CSS3 and a text editor. I have also learned and used both Adobe Dreamweaver and WordPress to construct sites as well. I have also acquired skills in responsive web design and utilizing media queries to achieve this in addition to SEO to achieve better rankings and findability.

I enjoy designing websites and striving to master the best and most efficient way to construct a pleasing website with responsive design for mobile friendliness with media queries and utilizing all SEO opportunities to get the best rankings to insure being found by the most people. I am also learning the use of flex-box coding which cuts back on media query coding because it does the brunt of the work on it’s own.
