Graphic Design Skills

During my time in the graphic communications program I acquired skills and proficiency in using the Adobe Creative Suite programs of Illustrator, Indesign, and Photoshop. This semester in interactive multimedia class I have been introduced to the Adobe Animate program to construct animated ads for my chosen client of John’s Crazy Socks. I have learned quite a bit on how to use the program while working on this project. I have began a project of using Adobe Character to animate an illustration of myself I had created earlier.

Throughout my time in the graphic communications program and my many project assignments I have acquired and became fairly proficient at the design process needed to problem solve for an applicable design solution. Going from the design brief and the necessary research needed to the conceptualizing in first thumbnails to roughs to the narrowing down to the finished product design solution. Throughout my projects I have been actively learning design elements and principles as well as design layout to best achieve what design solution I am trying to achieve.

With each new project I take on and solve with the best solution I can discover and create I hope to become more knowledgeable within the design elements and principles to achieve the best designed layout to visually communicate to my targeted audience the message I’d have relayed to them. Truly the main objective behind graphic communications as a whole. Hence my thought process behind my created icon for my graphic communications skills icon of visual voice illustrated with an eye within a mouth.
